Professor Carroll is nice and has sense of humor. For an entry level communication class, hers is way beyond a basic level. Her grading criteria is tough though. She will give a faded sample of what an outline should look like. You will get a deduction of 5 points for any little detail that you might forget. Her class stressed me out. Positive thing is that the test is open book and will give you extra points too.

Professor Carroll's class is difficult. If you're looking for someone to hold your hand, then she's not the one. Just make sure you follow the syllabus since she will not take any late work. It's best to keep ahead in her class and make sure to get as much help outside the class as possible. Also, she's not available during office hours. On the brighter side, she does allow for extra credit which helps a lot.
