Cover Instructor
Cover Instructors (CI) play a very important role in the smooth operations of Westgate Corporation. The CI’s primary duty is to cover Westgate classes (University Program, Young Learners Program, and all others) as necessary. CIs will often work at a wide variety of campuses/clients covering unavailable instructors’ classes so as to keep the client on a proper schedule. During this time it is vital that they serve as an appropriate role model for the instructors, as a source of encouragement to the students, and as a representative of Westgate to the client staff. When not covering classes, the CI may be based either on a university campus, at the Tokyo Office or home. When on campus, the CI will be responsible for working with instructors in lesson planning and development, curriculum refinement, and taking in and acting on instructor feedback. When at the Tokyo office, the CI will work towards better curriculum development.
