As part of my graduate assistantship, I worked as an instructor for the College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University. I taught Science in the Elementary Classroom (TEFB 413), a senior methods course, and act as a field supervisor for select students from my sections. In addition to senior methods, I taught Inquiries in Life and Earth Science (MASC 371).

I was a research assistant for the Education Research Center under the guidance of Dr. Hersh Waxman. This position provided opportunities to focus on teacher education and preparation.

I worked as a graduate research assistant in the Department of Veterinary Physiology and Pharmacology redesigning the Certificate Program in Biomedical Research for undergraduates. In addition to redesign, I helped to develop the final capstone course of the program.

I taught freshmen biology, preAP biology, AP biology and anatomy/physiology over the course of 4 years. During this time, I also was a National Honor Society and Student Council sponsor. With the help of some amazing students, I also was able to establish the Math & Science Team, which competed in both UIL and TMSCA competitions at the state level.
