Good
A very sweet lady who really cares about her classes which consists mainly of 150 minute lectures for every class on the success and well-being of her students. The material is fairly easy. There are 100 questions on the tests. However, she offers many other ways to improve your grade through papers, power point projects and participation. She also curves a lot.
Awesome
Professor D'Emilio-Wilkinson offers many ways to learn the material and earn good grades.
Awful
There's too much work for Professor Wilkinson's class. Even if she's nice and all, but not to everyone. She seemed unprofessional at times. Also, her grading criteria are not clear at all. And when you get an unexpected grade, she will not provide any clear reasons for it. The reason is, there are no specific criteria to meet. We had a long group project throughout the semester, two quizzes, four papers, a midterm, and a final exam.
Awful
Having her as a teacher during the pandemic was tough. She didn't respond to our emails. And when we asked her for clear grading rules, she would talk a lot but not answer our questions. The class workload was heavy. It's too much for a 2000-level class with 17 chapters, 2 quizzes, midterm, final, 4 reports, and an entire semester group project which was a ton of work.
Awful
This teacher doesn't explain her grading system well. I had to do lots of work for the class, including four essays without any guidelines on what she was looking for, two tests, and a group project that lasted the whole semester. The project was confusing because there were no clear instructions for grading. Not only was there a midterm and final, but also a ton of reading. She kept changing what she wanted from the group project and never gave us a clear idea of how we'd be graded. Also, she took two weeks to get back to a DRS advocate.
Awesome
She's relaxed and very helpful to her students. Her online class asks you to write a short, 250-word essay every week just one paragraph, maybe a discussion post sometimes, and a 20-question multiple-choice quiz every month which you'll need a book. Occasionally, instead of writing, she might ask for a video response. I recommend her.
