Awful
If you take this course with Professor Tepperman, good luck.Tests are very hard. There is a lot of reading. You have to study his lectures, the textbook(because what he teaches in the lecture doesn't necessarily correlate with the textbook content) and multiple journal articles for each week. He doesn't post lecture slides so you have to attend every lecture.
Awful
Professor Tepperman was one of the worst instructors I've ever had. He's condescending to his students. He's not very helpful also. Seriously, get ready to read. Because, you will have to take separate notes from the textbook since, his lecture content doesn't really follow it. He also challenged us in journal articles. Just make sure to come back because, he will not post the full version of his lecture online.
Good
The test of Professor Tepperman was very specific. However, he's a funny instructor so the lectures were engaging. Just make sure to read all texts thoroughly. Those include textbook, lecture slides and articles. If you do so, you will be perfectly fine.
Poor
Prof. Lorne has 3 sections on exams: textbook, lectures, additional readings. Readings are overly specific and hard to understand. His lectures are also totally irrelevant from the textbook and on a totally diff topic of his choosing. You'll get good grades if you study the textbook and take notes.
Awful
You will like this professor if you like hearing advertising for his books and lectures about consumerism and other irrelevant things. His 2 hour lectures feel like ten hours and by the end you never wanna hear about sociology again. I felt the lectures were dated as well and not relatable to people in 2019. Also, heavy workload. I stopped liking sociology because of this class :(
