Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada
I am a full professor at the University of Saskatchewan. My research activities focus on developing and applying machine learning methods for answering an array of challenging problems: building predictive models from high-dimensional features, testing hypothesis, making selection from high-dimensional features, and evaluating statistical models. I am also interested in applications of deep learning methods based on neural networks to various problems. Specifically, I have done research on these topics:
1) Predictive Analysis and Feature Selection for High-throughput Data
2) Predictive Methods for Model Assessment and Comparison
3) Applications of Deep Learning Techniques
4) Modeling Temporal and Spatial Data
More information about me can be found: http://math.usask.ca/~longhai.
I am looking for collaborative opportunities in applying machine learning methods in industrial problems, particularly in biomedical research organizations.
