Poor
Prof. O'Hirok is an amazing woman, however, she is very disorganized. She tends to forget to tell the most important information before a quiz so some classes got an advantage on it while others didn't. It's hard to tell what to study for exams because her study guides were also disorganized. I wouldn't recommend this class.
Average
Prof. O'Hirok is very sweet, nice, and knowledgeable. I had this my first year and kind of regretted it. There is weekly online homework, ten quizzes, two midterms, a final that she curves, as well as a six page research paper, a six minute presentation on the research paper, PLUS twelve hours of service learning. It's way too much work for a 100 class. You will have to memorize a lot of stuff.
Awful
Wouldn't recommend at all.
Awful
She's a lovely lady, but she's not a great teacher. The class was disorganized, with much of the time spent watching movies, listening to guest speakers, or giving presentations. During the course, I believe she gave four or five lectures. In this class, I certainly did not get a decent education and did not get my money's worth.
Awesome
Doctor O'Hirok is an amazing teacher. She breaks down topics so anyone can understand. Also, she's always available for her students. Even if she has a reputation for being disorganized she is a scatterbrain but she's a great teacher. If you want to pass, you need to take notes and pay attention. Just as simple as that. The reason why students complain is that they can't handle the basic tasks of college.
Poor
Doctor O'Hirok is a sweet lady. However, she's the most unorganized professor I've ever had. Her directions for most assignments were very unclear. She was not reliable over email as well. The quizzes were sort of helpful but had questions about random statistics a speaker talked about. Also, there are a lot of speakers and movies going on in class. Overall, she's not a professor but a researcher.
Poor
Professor O'Hirok is very kind. However, I will not take any of her class in the future.
