Assistant Principal
Responsibilities include collaborating with faculty/staff, community stakeholders, students, and governmental entities to provide optimal educational instruction to all students. This includes, but is not limited to ensuring classroom management, providing professional learning,serving on the leadership cabinet, providing individual and group planning and counseling for student success which includes scheduling, goal-setting, and college preparation, coordinating state testing. Duties also included leading the crisis prevention team, overseeing the programming (AVID, PALS,GT/AP, Duke TIP), and founder and coordinator of Boys to Men mentoring organization, Connell Studio Club, CLUB 40 Mentoring Program (in collaboration with City of San Antonio). Also, duties include providing solution-based responsive services through counseling and assisting students, families, and faculty and staff with personal matters. I also sit on several leadership councils such as our Campus Cabinet and Campus Leadership Team, in which I play a vital role in many campus-based decisions. I served at Davis Middle School and Estrada Achievement Center (Alternative School)

Currently teach in the Graduate School in the Educational Leadership Department with a focus on training teachers to become transformational leaders in the K-12 sector.
Executive Director
Oversee the daily operations and implementation of the Community For Life Foundation. The Community for Life Foundation was founded by Keith and Denetrice Graham in 2001. This non-profit 501 (c) (3) philanthropic organization is designed to educate, enrich and empower individuals who desire to make a positive contribution to improve the lives of others in our community locally to make an impact globally. Since our inception in 2001, we have sown over $520,000 in college scholarships to more than 103 recipients, fed over 1,700 families in our annual ‘O Give Thanks holiday initiative, sent care packages to scholarship recipients, and provided tutoring in all subject areas, as well as career and college readiness classes. Many of our scholarship recipients have become doctors, lawyers, teachers, administrators, executives, entrepreneurs, service men and women.
Founder
S.E.N.D. Consulting, specializes in training educators, counselors, administrators, parents, community leaders and stakeholders on “best practices” to reach at-risk students. Dr. Scott has given trainings for many universities, school districts, churches and even organizations such as Teach for America, SA Youth, Catholic Charities, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
Adjunct Professor
Currently teach in the department of Student Development to acclimate first year students to the folkways and norms of the collegiate experience. Courses that I teach include EDU 1300 (Ed Psych) and SDEV 0370.The class is designed to move from theoretical framework to practical application. Topics include Time management, study skills, decision making, social adjustments, financial literacy, and career readiness. Served at Northeast Lakeview College and San Antonio College.
