Lynn Stewart has over 25 years of international trade experience as well as several years in economic and workforce development that includes nearly two decades as a community college instructor.
In her current role as Director of Business Development for California State University, Fullerton – Extension and International Programs, she leads the development of professional and continuing education programs that meet the needs of employers, the business community and students.
Most recently, Lynn served as the Director of the Orange County Center for International Trade Development where she assisted importers, exporters and foreign investors as well as globalized education and the local workforce. She has spent many years working with businesses of all industries as a trade consultant and business advisor for the Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) as well as a subject matter expert and faculty member of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program.
Additionally, Lynn spent several years as Director of International Sales and Marketing for an environmental company launching their business overseas. She is also a NASBITE Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP) and trainer.

• Teach classes on Marketing, International Marketing and Business Writing and Communication.
• Develop curriculum and content, prepare and give class lectures, assignments, exams, and final projects both in class and on-line.

• Participated in resource and curriculum development for the International Business program as well as the Entrepreneurship program

- Worked with students on skills development such as resume writing, interviewing & company research for an international business career
- Acted as high school liaison and helped implement a college course into a local high school
Deputy Sector Navigator - Global Trade & Logistics - Los Angeles
Hosted at Long Beach City College, served as the Los Angeles Regional Director for Global Trade and Logistics under the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office "Doing What Matters for Jobs and the Economy" program. The goals of the program are to supply in-demand skills for employers, create relevant career pathways and stackable credentials, promote student success and get Californians into open jobs.
The Deputy Sector Navigator acts as the in-region contact and director for a sector (i.e. Global Trade), working with the region's colleges and employers to create alignment and leverage resources to deliver on workforce training and career pathways to achieve the goals of the Doing What Matters program.

Established in 1989, the California Centers for International Trade Development (CITD) are funded by the Chancellor’s Office of the State of California to promote the state’s international trade and competitiveness, assist exporters and importers, and advance economic and job growth. The CITDs assist California business to expand internationally as well as help colleges become more globalized.
