Girls on the Run is a sports-based positive youth development program designed to educate and prepare preteen girls for self respect and a lifetime of healthy living. Girls on the Run of Los Angeles County is one of 200 regional councils in the U.S. and Canada. GOTRLA operates under a social justice model for programming and organizational development. www.gotrlosangeles.org\n \nI served in multiple leadership capacities within GOTRLA between 2008-2013. In the roles of Chair and Vice-Chair
I was responsible for co-leading our organizational program capacity expansion
especially to underserved areas; strategic planning; board development; budget planning; hiring and overseeing staff; co-facilitating monthly board meetings; fundraising
and grant writing. I successfully co-authored nine grants from both national and community foundations totaling $59
000 to fund program delivery and my research among participants. I also served as board leadership for program quality and coordinating an internship program with California State University Long Beach.

experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. GOTR of UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital is an affiliate council of Girls on the Run International
which has a network of over 200 councils across 50 states and the District of Columbia. Girls on the Run of Magee was established to serve Allegheny
