Professor Langvardt is an Associate Professor of Law. His research focuses on the First Amendment and related issues, and has been published in The Georgetown Law Journal, the Tennessee Law Review, and others. In recent years, his writing has explored the decades-long growth of First Amendment doctrine to cover an ever-expanding field of public and private affairs. In particular, his writing has explored First Amendment doctrine's adaptation over time to social and economic changes wrought by information technologies.
Professor Langvardt has previously taught as a Lecturer in Business Law and Ethics at Indiana University, Bloomington. He also practiced as an associate with Locke, Lord, Bissell & Liddell in Chicago.
