Difficult class but he gives good study guides to go from. My biggest problem with him is that he is hard to talk to (he can be stand offish). He's one of those people that when you ask a question, instead of just answering you, he'll ask you questions until you figure out your own answer. That can be very frustrating...

Prof. Hanks is a professional teacher. He always looks presentable in class. He gives the material prior class and returns papers in about 10 days. He also gives clear feedback. He explains thoroughly any question. He's such a unique prof. He spends time and effort to do handwritten lecture notes on the board, instead of reading along power points. I'm thankful to have taken him.

Doctor Hanks was a great professor and cared about his students. In general Anatomy is a hard class and will demand lots of studying. However, he's knowledgeable in his material and will help you to succeed.

Good

I took both Bio40 and Bio45 with Prof. Hanks. He really expects his students to do their best. What you give is what you take. I suggest that you rewrite your notes, practice problems and use youtube as soon as you get home. Also, answer questions in lab manual for BIO45 and talk to him. Do not hesitate to ask questions as well!
