• Provide assistance with on-field and off-field tasks to ensure meals, travel, lodging, practice, and game-day operations run smoothly
• Research and contribute ideas and personal knowledge for practice plans that would best challenge and prepare athletes
Graduate Assistant Field Hockey Coach
Assisted with coaching a team of 24 girls. Upheld administrative support duties. As the travel coordinator, had to interact with coaches of opposing teams to figure out travel plans, find places to eat and stay, and also for film exchanges. Designed and implemented strength and conditioning programs for the team. Recruited perspective field hockey players. Learned NCAA rules and determined incoming freshman eligibility by utilizing the data input point system for transcripts. Held academic and check-up meetings with the girls on a weekly basis. Oversaw study hall hours.
Graduate Assistant
• Prepared students for the “working world” through resume and cover letter reviews, mock interviews, presentations/workshops, individual advising
• Created the UMaine Career Center blog
• Participated in Engineering Job Fair 2010 and Career Fair 2011
• Oversaw, marketed, and delivered outreach programming to student groups through presentations, Twitter, and blogging
• Collaborated with the Director of Development for Athletics to ensure student-athlete participation in career planning
