Professor Swanson is very willing to help outside of class if you aren't getting it. There 5 quizzes (only 4 count) and 4 exams.. plus cumulative final (but you are allowed a cheat sheet). Textbook is optional.

Prof. Swanson posts all of the lecture notes on Folio before class. She usually gives one weekly assignment. She also gives good real life application examples in class and shows different ways of solving the problems. Go to class because she doesn't give makeup quizzes at all. There is a class participation grade as well.
