Executive Assistant, General Administration Supervisor
Supervise the department’s secretary as well as 20 Teaching Assistants, Serve as supervisor liaison in absence of the Department Chair in the Dental Service Lab, Train employees, provide guidance, monitor performance, provide annual performance appraisals and hold monthly meetings, Serve as Executive Assistant to Chair of Prosthodontics and manage his calendar, schedule meetings, make travel arrangements, and arrange other departmental/School of Dentistry events, Maintain the Department’s Strategic Plan, Responsible for preparing contract letters for Adjunct/ Affiliate Faculty, Participated in several Faculty Search’s for General Practice, Endodontics and Prosthodontics, Provide administrative support to Chair and assist course directors as appropriate, Assist with the design and submission of clinic schedules and manage Blackboard Courses, Monitors Department Secretary's leave, plans Departmental Faculty coverage accordingly, approves leave for the Dental Service Lab’s Manager, Manage and approve/deny Faculty Leave Requests and load Faculty Leave into a published Google Calendar to ensure a flawless schedule,Order office supplies and monitor departmental expenses and deposits,Serves as the Office Manager for the Department of Prosthodontics,Responsible for both Departmental Purchasing Cards, Approve and deny all IT purchases, Responsible for all aspects of planning Interdepartmental Meetings, Annual Retreats, Dental Company Presentations,Meetings, Festivities and Retirement Functions for the Department of Prosthodontics,Plan Continuing Education events for the Department Faculty, Successfully plan all monthly Departmental Faculty Meetings as well as quarterly Prosthodontic/Student Representative Meetings to including room scheduling, catering, Agenda establishment and distribution, as well as taking and distributing approved minutes.
Instrumental in the creation and implementation of the Department of Prosthodontics Core Values.
Referral Coordinator
Responsible for insurance referrals, Performed front office duties such as scheduling, chart preparation, patient check-ins and check-outs, answering telephone inquires, collection of co-pays, etc, Devised a new referral tracking system, Provided excellent patient attention and assisted other areas during staff shortages
Patient Care Coordinator
Served as Head Cashier and responsible for all daily deposits and monthly financial reports,
Utilized computer scheduling system and processed patient registration and payments,
Managed phone messages and patient correspondence for over 200 students per semester,
Served as point of contact for the School of Dentistry’s webpage
