Riley
Greater Los Angeles Area
Following an extensive career In construction management, in 2007, I changed the trajectory of my life. I started taking classes at the local community college which quickly led to a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA and a Master’s Degree in History from California State University Northridge.
While gaining classroom experience as an adjunct history professor at Los Angeles Pierce College, I am continuing to improve my teaching skills. I recently completed two courses offered by the Los Angeles Community College District, Introduction to Online Teaching and Learning an Introduction to Teaching with Canvas. The two courses taken together qualify me as a certified Online Instructor for the District.
I also recently completed a third certificate program focused on 'Teaching Men of Color in the Community College.' Learning successful methods for creating better educational outcomes for men of color.
