Currently serve as Executive Director and Chief Technology Officer for a 2 billion dollar a year healthcare organization. Current and past responsibilities include experience in most Information Technology disciplines including data-center management, application development, network and storage technologies, IT security, identity management, infrastructure applications, audio-visual systems, conference systems, desktop support, cloud technologies and general system automation.

Teach advanced system administration classes using Microsoft and Cisco official curriculum. Current topics include certified classes in Windows 10, Server 2012, Microsoft Infrastructure and Active Directory and Cisco’s advanced networking topics. Classes are 3 hour credit classes made up of 80 contact hours including lecture and labs. Sit on curriculum advisory committee advising college on information technology curriculum.
Executive Director and Chief Technology Officer
Responsible for the management of enterprise technology including datacenter facilities, infrastructure design, policies, procedures, application development, Audio Visual systems, enterprise server operations including Windows, Unix, VMS, and Linux. Responsible for all server enterprise cloud and on premise hosting including ensuring for the efficient and timely system processing of the PeopleSoft systems including Campus Solutions, Financial Management Solution and HR Solution, Email, Electronic Medical Record Systems, Business imaging systems and other enterprise production systems.
Responsible for the overall IT operations for the administrative groups which include electronic patient record systems, academic systems, desktop support, and general information technology infrastructure. Perform short and long term budgeting including operational budgets, capital budgets and salary planning. Manage leasing contracts and other financing mechanisms for the procurement of desktop equipment, servers, and other IT equipment and services.
Responsible for the implementation of enterprise information technology security policies. Implemented laptop data encryption, desktop firewall products, operating system security patching policies, network security infrastructure, monitoring and security management tools and implementation of encrypted portable storage devices. Maintain compliance with various federal and state laws including HIPAA, Payment Card Industry standards, Texas Administrative code and Texas Government code.
Act as chief architect for university enterprise systems and related applications, researches and understand industry and technical trends to develop a strategy that is consistent with the requirements of the organization. Explains future technology plans to a variety of audiences, including current and prospective organizations, other technologists, government agencies, academic and industry groups, trade associations and others.
