Currently pursuing a PhD in Nursing Education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). My research interests focus on the influencing factors of acute care nurses' self-reported palliative care practices, as well as models of critical care palliative and end-of-life care integration and their effects on informal (family) and formal caregivers of patients with life-limiting illness, and undergraduate nursing education, particularly end-of-life care preparation.
Assistant Professor of Practice
I taught Adult Health Nursing I to junior level pre-licensure BSN students and coordinated clinical rotations for the students.
Critical Care Clinical Instructor
In the critical care clinical setting, I guided junior and senior nursing students in understanding patient complexities and nursing care. I developed appropriate patient assignments for the students and facilitated their learning during the clinical day. Through focused pre-clinical and post-clinical meetings, as well as interaction throughout the clinical day, I am assessed their learning needs and evaluated their learning.
