I am a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Science at Sacred Heart University. I coordinate the public health concentration within the Health Science program, and I teach a variety of classes including Community and Public Health, Epidemiology, Childhood Health Inequities, and Introduction to Healthcare and Health Professions. My research interests center on intervention research, including peer educator and community health worker approaches to promote behavior change (with emphasis on physical activity, nutrition, and tobacco/vape prevention and cessation). A few other professional interests include health literacy, pediatric weight management, elementary and secondary health education, and service learning. I am a Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES) and a Certified Health Coach.
