000 grant initiative to strengthen the communications program at Bennett College. I was responsible for implementing a curriculum update for the JMS department which consisted of overhauling course descriptions
adding/eliminating courses
bringing the major credit hours inline with peer institutions
and creating a flexible minor course offering curriculum. \nOversaw the renovation of a multipurpose broadcast/photography studio within the JMS department. Updated technology equipment throughout the program with new Apple desktop computer labs

and obtained the Adobe editing suite. Helped to create an annual film festival on the campus
and several other media related programs that helped the department and college increase notoriety in the community. Forged relationships with media and other companies to foster opportunities for students and the college.

Provided academic leadership to an interdisciplinary faculty within the departments of Business

and Entrepreneurship; Curriculum and Instruction; Journalism and Media Studies; and Social Work. Oversaw academic planning and the creation of assessments for SACS-COC. Oversaw the recruitment of hiring faculty and staff within the division. Conducted evaluations of the department heads. Participated in student recruitment initiatives. Oversaw a budget and helped to allocate funds of more than a million dollars. Spearheaded a \"Soft Skills Discussion\" within the division of professional studies for the entire college. Encouraged workshops within the division on health and wellness. Created end of the year academic reports. Worked with multiple groups to create a new strategic plan for the college. Oversaw the accreditation efforts for two departments pursuing CAEP and CSWE accreditation.
