In my opinion, Professor Allen is a harsh grader and quite rude. Some of the feedback he gives on assignments can often be interpreted as belittling and rude. I totally hate taking classes with him because after receiving feedback on my papers and assignments I always feel defeated and inadequate. Avoid him if you can.

Professor Allen is a very tough grader, especially for simple materials. He claims that he's open to questions. However, when you ask, he'll just belittle you. Also, his assignments and expectations were very unclear. Overall, he was by far the worst professor I had at the University of Vermont.
