Lab research focuses on the physiology, molecular genetics, and ecology of anaerobic prokaryotes, which are involved in metal/uranium reduction and aromatic hydrocarbon degradation in terrestrial and marine environments.
o Analyzed biological specimens using routine and complex instruments and manual methods.
o Apply quality control, maintenance, and calibration procedures per standard operating procedures to provide accurate, reliable and timely information.
o Literature searches and routine bioinformatics. (NIH database)
o Anaerobic bacterial culturing, including hard to degrade aromatic hydrocarbons.
