    Lead and organize annual language immersion workshops providing students with diverse experiences and exposure to native speakers since 2008 as the Minds On Spanish team leader.

    Karina Walker is Assistant Professor of Spanish and Coordinator of the Women’s & Gender Studies minor at Hartwick College. Her research interests include baroque

    twentieth

    and twenty-first-century Spanish women writers

    as well as the baroque aesthetic in contemporary Spanish narrative

    poetry

    and film. Her focus revolves around the construction of identity

    and its expression in contemporary Spanish cultural production. Her teaching centers on weaving student strengths and passions into their experiences within the Spanish and Women’s & Gender Studies Programs. She enjoys working closely with students to develop meaningful courses of study that are both intellectually challenging and have practical application for their future goals. \n
