Have conducted and assisted on various research projects, including but not limited to: aging, relationships, social networks, social isolation, sexual behavior and self-efficacy, person-centered care, role category questionnaire (RCQ), and healthy eating.
Wrote and was awarded a grant from the Regional Institute on Aging looking at the social support networks of elderly recipients of home and community based services.
Recently completed a dissertation project investigating the social support networks of residents in 2 Independent Living facilities and how computer usage could be effective at lowering rates of social isolation.
Have presented posters and symposiums over research at various professional conferences in Kansas and around the United States.
