Takehara was very kind and course content was well explained. The course would be perfect had her TA Gaqi Tu graded better and explained why she graded as poorly as she did. People have cried during test reviews because the TA could not be reasoned with.

I can say that the subject itself is difficult. However, there are some professors who are willing to help provided the students are willing to put in the extra effort. Unfortunately, Professor Takehara isn't one of them. I listened to every three hour lecture recording on .5 times speed. She has a thick accent too and it took lots of hours. Also, her tests will not challenge your knowledge, they challenge for synthesis. Good luck.
