He clearly knows his stuff! I'm not sure about the other students, but I found his teaching methods to be very distracting. He talks like Prince Charming from Shrek. His class is passable, but don't expect it to be easy. Wouldn't recommend at all.

Sterling is undoubtedly one of the best biology instructors I've ever had. He is excellent at discussing subjects, answering questions, and being available to his students. Bio will always be a difficult subject, and the amount of work required for his class is reasonable. I feel like he's encouraged me to be the best I can be, and I can't wait to take Micro with him.

I honestly thought I'd fail this class. I suggest you get a good study group and study both the book and the PowerPoint because the test could include either. Every time I studied one, I felt like I was studying the other. Don't skip classes or assignments, and if you do, have someone else take notes for you. Talk to him if something comes up.
