Prof. Vollhardt is really smart and funny. However, he teaches straight from the textbook with no additional explanation. This class won't actually prepare you for OChem 3b with another prof. I barely slid through the class because midterms were ridiculous. Honestly, this class is the reason why I switched majors.

Good
Prof. Peter's class was tough but it's actually normal because it's an ochem class. Tests are really hard, but he gives all the past exams to help you out. If you get at least 1 std above the mean on all exams, you're guaranteed an A already!

Prof. Peter's class was tough because we had to go through a lot of content. Lectures are straight from the book which he actually wrote. He also gives you a whole bunch of practice exams and they're actually pretty consistent from year to year!

I struggled with this class a bit because I had to self-teach myself using the textbook. His lectures were not especially helpful bc they were simply a regurgitation of the texbook. I suggest going to the GSIs for extra guidance and doing the end-of-chapter questions.
