    Adjunct English Professor/ Lead Writing Instructor / Summer Bridge/CONNCAP Instructor

    Lead writing Instructor/Professional Tutor: worked with students from all disciplines in improving college-level writing skills including grammar, syntax, style and proper citation. Over saw Learning Center activities in the absence of the director, worked with student tutors as well as helped orient new professional hires. Worked at the request of faculty with students who struggled on English and Humanities writing assignments, but also worked with students in all departments. Taught NLN Exam Prep courses covering test taking skills, vocabulary developement, and reading skills. Created an presented workshops on Writing Reaserch Papers, English Language Development Skills, as well as other topics upon request. Oversaw New Student Orientation Spring Semester 2011, and worked on several committees through out the school. Served as primary contact for students in the MOVE (Men of Vision in Education) and WISE (Women in search of Education) Co-horts for academic assitance. Taught two years in the Summer Bridge (college-entry) Program and five years in CONNCAP (college-prep) Program; topics included History and English, Developed English Curriculum for Summer Bridge.

Department was soon outsourced overseas.
