Awesome

I took Professor Hayes for two semesters and he was really great both times. He is a great guy. Sometimes you might get angina on account of his being philosophical but he is really helpful and willing to sit with you and work out comments that confused you. If you want an A, you definitely have to show up to class. I really recommend him.

Awful

I honestly don't get where all the good reviews came from. It was a confusing class with him like what others have said. I believe I am a good student but I always had to work with students who weren't reliable. It was very frustrating because it really affected my grade. He actually did almost no teaching. In class, everyone was on laptops including him.

Awesome

Really a relaxed and nice person. Very unique style, you write a smaller essay and you mix it into a single bigger easy with other students. Really breaks the mold. I was also taught how to read passages and get a better understanding of them.
