Awful
Prof. Bernardo is the worst. Honestly, you couldn't pay my tuition to take him again. He's just the most disorganized prof. His powerpoints are in no order whatsoever and with random info on it. Book totally left me in tears in the library because you will have no idea of what's going on. His lectures are awful and he just babbles about salamanders.
Poor
This was a difficult class. In retrospect, the content was not tough; it was just taught incorrectly. He simply rambles all throughout the class! We didn't even get through all of the material in class. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK... it is a complete waste of money. He's a brilliant man, but he's not a good professor. The presentation slides are a jumble. I suggest you attend class for the pop quizzes. On zoom, he snapped at his dog :(
Awful
Don't miss any of this professor's classes. He throws out odd quizzes that could save your grade in the future. Because he always rants, his lectures drag on, so record him and take careful notes later because what he says WILL BE ON EXAMS. Don't bother with the textbook; it'll cost you $200 and you'll never use it. Wouldn't recommend him at all.
Awful
Professor Bernardo's first day of class is literally spending thirty minutes talking about his bad pica evaluation. He actually spends a whole 75-minute lecture going over two slides. Also, the tests aren't just notes, but specific things he says. In addition, his rude, ruthless and tough. He clearly refuses to teach and is wondering why he has bad pica grades and evaluations.
Poor
Professor Bernardo is quite rude and direct, which makes people not like him. He provides examples in lectures that are difficult to follow. However, those will be on the exams, so you have to pay attention. Also, you need to understand the material very well because the exams are complicated, where two answers may be right. Overall, he's not good at teaching and I didn't learn anything useful in his class.
Good
Professor Bernardo is great. He offers a lot of opportunities for extra credit. He makes some errors in the tests but corrects them. I suggest you take a lot of notes and pay attention to the lecture. The exam covers most of the things in the lecture, so the textbook didn't help me much. Also, many practical problems to do on the test that help in mathematics. Don't ask for curves because he won't do it because of the EC.
Average
Doctor Bernardo is definitely not as rude as people make him out to be. He really tried to help us understand with practice. He's a good teacher with knowledge about the course. And you should pay attention during lectures. I used the textbook in the library for some chapters, but the lecture was fine on its own. The exams were a bit difficult but doable though. I suggest you study and take a lot of notes.
Awful
Professor Bernardo is probably the most unorganized, selfish, and rude teacher I've ever seen. Do not buy a textbook since I scanned it once and realized that it had nothing to do with learning. He also makes tons of mistakes on exams. Overall, this was probably the most useless class I've taken so far. Unfortunately, it was mandatory.
Awful
Professor Bernardo's class is not difficult or complicated. However, if you'll be wrong once, then you'll be in trouble. He has the emotional intelligence of a toaster. Apparently, he just wants to do research and he's stuck teaching this class. He annoys students, makes fun of them when they don't know something, and makes people feel small. Do not take his class.
Poor
Professor Bernardo is very slow during lectures because we keep reviewing the same thing three times. It's never really focused as well. The book was a waste of money so don't buy it. Also, you have to show up to pass this class. Generally, it's quite an easy class due to partial extra credits. However, I zoned out and sat at the front of the class every day. Nothing difficult but will rate him a 2/5.
