  As a fan of the Hunger Games book trilogy (Suzanne Collins)

  I wanted to create a short film that would be as accurate as possible to the vision I saw from the text. In order to keep it distanced from what was created for the Lionsgate feature film

  I chose an intense action scene from the third book

  Mockingjay.

  It is my responsibility to help students learn about the basics of traditional animation techniques. In class

  students create their own flipbooks

  along with a few other projects. Through the intro level class

  the intent is for students to gain an understanding about how all film and animation production is really just individual images that

  when played back fast enough

  create the illusion of motion.
