I am a collective memory scholar working in the area of media studies. My doctoral work was completed at Rutgers University where my dissertation focused on how and why we remembered World War II as we did during the 1990s. Overall, I am interested in critiquing instances of power expressed via media, usually tied to a historical "authority." I have solid experience teaching at the collegiate level as well as mentoring undergraduates one-on-one. My work has been published in academic journals and as a book chapter.
