John O'Keefe Publishing
John is the creator of "Equal Intervalic Temperament: A System of Position Mapping on the Cello." This system is designed to make cello playing easier by suggesting that each new position on the cello should be eqaul increments of a half step. John created this system not as a way to alter cello playing completely, but to add to the rich history of cello playing already in place. John's system is built around the idea that a position is denoted by an anchor note. The anchor note in cello playing is either the index finger or the thumb of the left hand. There are obvious times where a cellist might not need to denote a position or an anchor note, and John clearly address such issues in his work.
