Poor
My advice is to inspire students with your passion for learning and keep in mind when blinded by hubris it's easy to offend others. Don't rest your hat on short term utils, you can earn respect in many different effective ways.
Awesome
Doctor Phillips is a compassionate and fair professor. He'll keep you informed. There's a good amount of reading in his upper-division classes. However, the grading is more about you actually thinking through content than just checking off boxes. As long as you show that you're trying to understand the material then you'll be fine.
