In addition to my teaching experiences, I am a retired Lieutenant Colonel veteran of the U. S. Marines and Air Force. In the military, I served as a Combat Infantryman in the Marines, and a Chief of Mental Health Services, Director of Psychiatric Inpatient Services, Director of Human Development Center, Director of Family Support Center, Chief of Social Work Services, Consultant to Social Actions and Base Drug and Alcohol Abuse Rehabilitation Programs, Director of Family Advocacy and Children Have A Potential Programs, Director of Behavioral Sciences Officers, and Director and Proctor of Behavioral Sciences in a Family Practice Residency Program in the Air Force.
I have been an Associate Administrator for two Psychiatric Hospitals, and enjoyed a highly successful Private Practice providing mental health, family and marital, and substance abuse therapy to adults, adolescents, and children.

Prior to my retirement in the field of mental health, I was a: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist; Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor; Certified Group Psychotherapy Therapist; Licensed Master Social Worker, Advanced Clinical Practitioner; Board Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work, Board Certified Diplomate, American Board of Examiners in Clinical Social Work; Diplomate , Managed Care Provider; Certified Imago Relationship Therapist; and a Certified member of the Society of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis and the American Society for Clinical Hypnosis.

I graduated from Amarillo High School. I have a Bachelor of Science Degree, Master of Social Work degree, and Doctor of Philosophy degree. I currently teach at Weatherford College. I have taught at Tulane University, Los Angeles Metropolitan College, The University of Maryland, and Indiana-Purdue University.
As a State of Texas Certified Teacher in both Special Education and Social Studies. I have taught public school at the Elementary, Intermediate and High School levels. I have taught Dual Credit and Honors classes in psychology and sociology.
While in the U. S. Air Force, I was the Director of Behavioral Sciences and taught and proctored Family Practice residents in a three year Family Practice Resident program. I have also taught and supervised dentists, nurses, podiatrists, physician assistants, physical therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers, pharmacists, and nutritionists.
