Fike
Greater Detroit Area
My five careers include professional food service (6 years), residential and commercial furniture design and manufacture (5 years), community organizing in Chicago (4 years), audio-visual producer and technician -- both analog and digital (15 years) professional fundraiser with certification (32 years).
My goals are:
1. to help nonprofits learn how to be successful in raising more money with which to accomplish their mission.
2. to help more nonprofit organizations allow themselves to invest in excellent, motivational audio-visual media productions that express their case for support in ways their donors can easily grasp. The new generations of donors want more than the "quick and dirty" cheap brochure. They want to know what happens to the dollars they give, and how they are helping society become better.
3. to teach my students in nonprofit management at Eastern Michigan University with excitement, involvement and depth; and to do this by example.
