I am currently teaching chemistry courses at the Tamaqua
PA Campus. In the Fall of 2013 I will be teaching Organic Chem I and the Lab
Lehigh Carbon Community College
Adjunct Instructor
Northampton Community College
Research Associate
At Air Products I was been involved in development programs for cast elastomers
water-based release agents
catalysis for flexible PUR and rigid PIR foams
catalysts
internal mold release and chain extenders for RIM
raw materials for waterborne polyurethane and epoxy coatings and most recently
a non-polyurethane project
monomers for 157 nm photoresists.

At Mobay I was a member of the Analytical/Environmental
Isocyanate and RIM Elastomer Groups. where I participated in the development of RIM systems for the Pontiac Fiero body and the introduction of internal mold release technology for automotive and non-automotive RIM systems.
Mobay Corporation (now Bayer MaterialScience)
A Research Specialist in the Isocyanate Group with the Polyurethane Research Department
functioning as liaison to the RIM Applications and Development Group from Polyurethane Research and responsible for new developments in Mobay’s RIM technology as the specialist in charge of the laboratory-scale RIM machine. Also responsible for coordinating and developing internal mold release technology for non-automotive RIM
shoe soles and semi-rigid foam.\n\n\tAdvanced RIM Technology\n•\tEmployed Statistical Design Experiments and Regression Analysis to formulate the Bayflex 110-80 RIM system which was commercialized for fenders and door skins on the Pontiac Fiero;\n•\tCo-inventor of the internal mold release agent commercialized for Bayflex 110 polyurethaneurea RIM systems used in automotive fascia;\n•\tInvented and patented a completely different internal mold release agent for Baydur structural RIM systems which could not use the system developed for elastomeric RIM; This new release agent was also commercialized;\n•\t Conducted an extensive program on isocyanate prepolymer structure as it affected freeze stability
reactivity and ultimate RIM physical properties; This expanded Mobay’s patent estate at a time when patents on staple products were about to expire; \n•\tInvented a new and novel polyol for polyurethaneurea RIM which did not require the use of tin catalysts
thus improving thermal stability; \n\tServed as Technical Recruiter for the Polyurethane Division
assigned to Cornell and the University of Rochester; \n\tTaught a one-semester internal course in Organic Chemistry for Chemical Technicians at Mobay; Book used: “Organic Chemistry
