Prefer work in an environment of change driven by introduction of new products, services or re-organization. Systemic view of context enables me to keep things on track to reach goals and meet objectives.
Specialties:
Technical supervision,
Training and education,
Proposal management,
Electronic system troubleshooting and maintenance.
Project Logistics Engineer
Trained Air Force personnel of several nations in the maintenance of F-16 avionics. I was responsible for the group teaching the common core of software driven automatic test equipment. The programming language was F-16 ATLAS. My primary teaching responsibility was the programming language, though I taught all the core systems to students or other teaching staff.
I also taught a special course which included updates to the avionic systems as well as all the ATE subsystems. All course materials were prepared from engineering documentation as the ATE was being built and deployed.
Once teams were deployed, our team was responsible for technical support. This included authoring responses to field service reports as well as telephone support.
Held a secret clearance.
Adjunct Faculty
Teaching basic courses in industrial automation and biomedical technology. Some students progress to four year programs, but most finish with an Associate of Sciences or specialty certificates.
Manager QA
Process improvement to reduce production errors. Designed and led the implementation of assembly documentation and training along with production monitoring that reduced errors by 90%.
Trained quality assurance staff so that we could move from "inspecting quality into the product" to a near error free process. We eliminated existing documentation inconsistencies, created process documentation to be used at workstations, audited processes and remedied errors in whatever manner was most appropriate.
Project Engineer
Product engineering management of printed circuit board layout and engineering release to production operations. Active role in process improvement that reduced typical design interval of 13 weeks and usually required rework of errors, to 5 weeks with rework rarely required.
Proposal manager acquiring government contracts to perform work GTE would be doing anyway. The result was the bulk of the contract earnings fell to the bottom line.
Held a confidential clearance.
Process improvement in Composition and Graphics department by automating manual operations. This reduced may job intervals from weeks to days, and in one case to only hours. Much of this involved integrating what had been islands of automation.
