I am spending the fall working on my “Creative Construction: The Importance of Froth and Fraud in Emerging Technologies.”
Visiting Research Fellow
I spent a year on a Fulbright (thank you very much
American and Japanese taxpayers) teaching at Tokyo Institute of Technology and researching the decline of the fax machine in Japan.

The high cost of reaching orbit (approximately $20
000 a kilogram) hinders the exploration and exploitation of space. A new generation of ground-based launch systems should reduce that cost sufficiently to spark new
affordable
and profitable waves of space-based activity. Creating the new technology will require major government support
continuing the role of the American government in developing and promoting better transportation.
