As an Executive-in-Residence I work to provide students and faculty the opportunity to benefit from the expertise of my many years as a business executive. I do this by teaching regular semester courses or short courses on topics generally related to subjects involving technology and leadership. I also work to assist with the identification of the needs and of the evolving expectations of the business community and advise the College's academic programs on how our programs might respond to make our students more attractive during recruitment cycles. Finally
I am an open resource to provide guidance in helping transition students into their future careers in the business community.

We at DNR were faced with mountains of geographical data that had been collected over 20+ years
that was could not be easily presented to our citizens
nor that could be combined in any meaningful way. Thanks to the launch of “Georgia Outdoor Map”
DNR can now allow divisions to upload their existing data from Arc GIS files
databases
and spreadsheets
and provide a tool to Georgia citizens that will allow them to visualize them collectively on an interactive map. In addition
as “Georgia Outdoor Map” is a “Web-Enabled Mobile Application”
it can be viewed on any device with a web browser including desktops
phones and tablets
so it is device agnostic.

For the first time
a Georgia Citizen can go to one place with all of their outdoor and recreational needs and find locations that offer the services that are individualized to their wants and needs.\n• With a relatively modest investment
we at DNR can provide a platform that will reduce the need for “informational calls” to DNR Headquarters and each of the 5 divisions. \n•\tBuild an ongoing platform for information sharing going forward.\n•\tShould help to increase usage of our “ For-Fee“ and free facilities
thereby helping to raise revenue\n
