Professor Torres provided a comprehensive and amazing POLS class. I would definitely take it again, I really enjoyed it. There is lots of outside reading with quizzes before each class about the last reading, but there is not much homework. There is two essays that he will happily help guide you with. Overall, he really cares for his students.

For Torres's class I recommend that you get friendly with his assistant, he grades all the essay papers and he will let you know what to change, also take pictures of the presentation slides, and buy the book, as well as study all the chapters. Torres does curve quite a bit, and the grades are broken down as short papers (15% each), attendance (25%), two midterms (15%), and the final (15%).
