Visiting Professor
I started as a part time lab and clinical instruction in 2013, and was offered a position as a full-time instructor a few months later. I chose to return to part-time work so that I can have more time with my family while my children are still young. After resigning my full-time faculty position, I continue to work part time as lab and clinical instructor.
Assistant Professor
As an assistant professor and lead instructor for the fundamentals courses on my campus, I plan the fundamentals courses which includes writing lesson objectives, developing teaching and active learning activities. I implement course instruction for those sections assigned to me and mentor fellow faculty members who are responsible for teaching the other sections. I write all of the exams, analyze exam results and rewrite exam questions as needed. I plan and supervise both lab and clinical instruction for those labs that accompany the nursing fundamentals courses. I have participated as a committee member on a variety of campus committees including "Admissions Committee", "Teaching Excellence Committee", "Phoenix Engagement Team Committee", "Scholarship Committee" and "Experience Nursing Day Committee".
