Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies at Eckerd College
Joanna K
Huxster, PhD
Saint Petersburg, Florida
My research deals with student and public understanding of climate change. I collect qualitative and quantitative data to reconstruct and analyze perceptions and knowledge, and use these findings to identify gaps and misunderstandings. The goal of this research is to inform communication, education and policy efforts for climate change mitigation and adaptation. I currently work more broadly in public understanding of science. I teach environmental studies and climate change communication at Eckerd College.
