Director of Recruitment and Internship Placement
•Led outreach and recruitment of MPA students, including coordination of Information Sessions with faculty, recruitment travel, and analysis of trends. Public Administration enrollments doubled in the first three years of my tenure.
•Directed the development and execution of all targeted recruitment marketing strategies and communication initiatives from initial inquiry to enrollment
•Managed all social media marketing via Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
•In collaboration with the Office of Communications and Marketing, increased the visibility of the MPA program
•Served as liaison with the Graduate School in its efforts to increase overall graduate enrollment
•Managed all aspects of the department's Internship program including eligibility determination;
determination of waivers; student advisement; review and approval of MOUs; identifying and developing new internships with community-based organizations; monitoring student progress, and developing opportunities for paid internships
•Taught Basic Computing Skills/Introduction to Excel (PAFF-502) and Introduction to Administrative Systems (PAFF-503) each semester, taught Beyond Good Intentions each summer (PAFF-111). Taught Managing Information and Technology (PAFF-526) for three semesters.
•Collaborated with the college's Office of Career and Professional Services to provide career related services to MPA students
Elections Commissioner
During my tenure as Elections Commissioner for the Tioga County Board of Elections, I managed the primary and general (local) elections of 2005. The often fast-paced office put public service first and whet my appetite for work in the public sector.
