Bowles will stop during his lectures to give students practice questions and he will also give you a chance to ask questions. There is plenty of opportunities he gives to improve your grade such as a projects, corrections on first test, take home test as well as extra credit on test. The quizzes he gives are weekly, however sometimes they're take home.

Awesome

I took Professor Bowles's class during the COVID-19 pandemic, so everything is online of course, however he truly went out of his way to make sure the students understood the material. His tests weren't really hard and they were relevant to the lecture videos, which were fascinating, and entertaining.

Good

Joe does an excellent job of making himself accessible and attempting to keep what is essentially a lecture-only session interested by cracking jokes and sharing experiences from previous students (without identifying factors). He frequently visits the SRC and checks in with his students to ensure that they do not require any clarification or additional guidance. Although he is a tough grader, he does provide you with study guides.
