- My short story collection, "It Had Been Planned and There Were Guides," (FC2, 2015) won the Ronald Sukenick Innovative Fiction Prize and was longlisted for the PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize.
- My fiction and poetry also won awards from the National Society of Arts and Letters and the F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald Museum. It has been featured by Ploughshares and the Short Form and has appeared in the Adroit Journal, the Collagist, the Indiana Review, Joyland, Posit, and the Masters Review, among other places.
- Several of my university students have gone on to win awards and gain acceptance to fully funded MFA programs. My teaching won a fellowship from the New York State Council of the Arts, Empire State Partnerships, a 1st Place Teaching Award from the English Graduate Organization at the University of Alabama, and a fellowship from the Alabama Prison Arts + Education Project, among other honors.
- Previous and current work experience and skills include foundation grant writing, grants management, individual giving, editing, site management and project management, arts administration, curriculum design, planning, and implementation, marketing strategy, web content, volunteer coordination, and community outreach.

I taught Creative Writing courses for Writers House in the Rutgers University English Department in the 2013-2014 academic year.
I also coordinated Professional Development outreach projects for the Rutgers Writing Program in an administrative capacity.
I taught Creative Writing and Theater in the Rutgers Future Scholars Summer Program from the inception of the program at Rutgers New Brunswick until 2017.
