General Manager of the Emergency Mass Notification Systems division of Airbus DS Communications which provides emergency notification alerts during times of crisis, workforce notification and employee safety tools, business continuity / disaster recovery solutions and much more to hospitals, financial organizations, energy & utility companies, commercial firms, and public safety customers. P&L responsibility for the business including sales, product, infrastructure, support, operations, Waterfall based R&D, etc. I was asked to prepare this team for acquisition by Motorola Solutions in a short term stint. 100% sales quota achievement, turned negative ebit forecast into positive YE results, improved revenue actuals, re-energized the workforce, and implemented a clear go-forward strategy in prep for acquisition.
Co-Chair of the Next-Generation 911 Security Working Group
As the Co-Chair of the National Emergency Number Association's Next-Generation 911 (NG911) Security Working Group I was jointly responsible for directing and coordinating future IT Security Standards and Recommendation for the 911 Public Safety industry as it evolves towards NG911. We are literally building an entire IT Security framework from the ground up. The result of these efforts was the publishing of the industry's first cyber security standard in Feb 2010: NG-SEC, or NG9-1-1 Security.
