He was easy to talk to, but I didn't learn much throughout the whole semester. He's not the best at explaining things to those of us who are non-doctorate in philosophy. I wrote 15 page sin total in his class. We had online quizzes due before every class meeting but we used them for studying for the final and midterm.

Expect an assignment due every class. I haven't received feedback from assignments apart from the midterm and final, but it seemed that he helped people when asked to. You should be proficient in writing in order to consider taking him. He tells you that he doesn't give out A's easily, but with some effort they are attainable.

Prof. Shipley was amazing in class and I totally loved listening to his lectures. However, assignments were quite a nightmare! Final and midterm were both two essays and were really challenging prompts based on hard readings. Everything online was disorganized. I actually never got the chance to know my grade. He's a bit of a harsh grader for community college.

Doctor Shipley is a good professor. Just be sure to read the material he gives you for every class.
