I am a Ph.D Student in the History of Christianity, specializing in Byzantine spirituality with an emphasis on the "Palaiologan Renaissance" era. My particular interests include episcopal authority,monasticism, hagiography, and mysticism. Currently, I am working on a re-evaluation of the fourteenth-century Hesychast Controversy.
