Teach Face-To-Face and Online classes in Microcomputer Applications - Basic Computer Knowledge and the big four Microsoft Office 2013 Products
Word
Excel
PowerPoint and Access\n\nMy most recent experience was as a full-time faculty member at Western Oklahoma State College
but because of two State Revenue failures
my program was on of several at the institution that was part of mandatory budget cuts\n\nI was initially hired to oversee two A.A.S. programs: Office Systems and Medical Office Technology
but this past year I was also given the opportunity to lead the Computer Information Systems degree. I was in the process of updating and revamping this degree when the cuts were announced. My goal was to increase student participation by adding current programming courses and embedded certificates in Cyber Security and Database Management. \n\nWhile at Western
I created several online courses for the college including \nBUSI 1003 Records Management
\nOFST 1103 Beginning Keyboarding
\nOFST 1153 Intermediate Keyboarding and \nOFST 2253 Document Production. \n\nWestern uses Quality Matters as its guide for online courses
the process for evaluating online courses requires the participation of three peer reviewers
the review of the Online Coordinator
and the Academic Dean before the class is reviewed by the thirteen member Curriculum Committee. As you can imagine
the process is arduous and the focus is on rigor
so I am well accustomed to working to put courses online.
